Have you tried a silicone bong? Here’s why this new twist on the glass bong is becoming one of my favorite things to smoke out of.
Have you had a chance to try out a silicone bong yet? If you have not yet had this opportunity, you are really missing out! I’ll admit that the concept of silicone water pipes made me a little wary at first, but when I first used one, I adored it! I smoked from a cute little silicone that was shaped like a pumpkin and I thought it was the greatest thing! The bong hit itself was chill, it tasted great, and best of all when her cat unexpectedly jumped up on the table and knocked the bong over it did not shatter into a million pieces! I decided then that I loved silicone bongs. Here’s why you need to get your hands on some silicone bongs and dab rigs right this second!
They’re Dishwasher Safe!
One of the biggest benefits of a silicone bong is that they are made from food grade silicone, meaning these products are intended to be washed in the dishwasher. As you can imagine, this makes them easy to clean. I cannot begin to tell you how much easier this makes bong maintenance. The time that I spend cleaning and maintaining my bong is cut by about two thirds. This has left me with so much more time for activities such as smoking weed and expanding my collection of smoking pipes.
Impossible to Break
Unlike a glass pipe or a glass bong, silicone smoking utensils are pretty much indestructible. You could throw your silicone dab rig against the wall and it would not break. Try that with traditional glass! Actually, on second thought don’t try that. The fact that silicone bongs are indestructible makes them a breeze when it comes to storage and travel. You can pack a silicone bong with you while going on a camping trip, traveling across the country, or sneaking a toke while staying at your parent’s house.
They Make Great Ice Bongs!
If you love smooth and chill hits, then you will love how much ice you can pack into a silicone bong. If you have a downstem made from silicone, you can fill it from top to bottom with ice and never have to worry about melting ice breaking your downstem, a constant worry when putting ice in your bong.
Silicone is great at handling cold, and the material manages to stay cold for quite some time. This means you’re going to have smooth, chill, and delicious tasting hits for at least a session or two.
Easy to Store, Easy to Carry
Storing a glass bong can be a bit of a hassle if you don’t have a case for it. With silicone on the other hand, you can basically just throw it in a drawer when not in use. This is why they make such great traveling companions. You can easily pack one in a backpack or suitcase and take it wherever you go. This is why silicone bongs can easily be loaned out to a friend in need or taken to a party or festival!
Silicone Can Also Withstand Great Heat
Silicone is used as an insulator, so silicone bongs, pipes and other smoking accessories are made to withstand intense heat. As such they make great dab rigs in addition to awesome bongs. Don’t get me wrong, glass dab rigs are great, but once they start to crack around the joint, that rig’s days are numbered. That silicone dab rig will last you for years and years.
Among one of the best things about buying a silicone bong is that they’re inexpensive, especially when compared to glass. You can purchase a high-quality silicone bong for less than fifty dollars. If somehow your piece did get ruined, then you can replace it without putting a huge dent in your wallet.
Hits from a Silicone Bong Taste Great
The idea of smoking your grass from something other than glass might bring back memories of the weird taste of acrylic bong hits, but with silicone you don’t have to worry. Since these bongs are made from food grade silicone, there is no residual taste from the material. You only taste the hit!
Next time you’re looking at bongs for sale, it would behoove you to consider adding one of these to your collection. They’re great bongs for being on the go. They’re easy to travel with and even easier to store.
