Pop singer Rihanna may not say much about marijuana, but Rihanna sure likes to pose with pot – be it a blunt, a weed-leaf tank top or a 4/20-themed cake.
Born on Feb. 20, 1988 in St. Michael, Barbados, Rihanna exploded on the music scene when she was just 17 with her debut album, Music of the Sun, in 2005. Her first single, “Pon de Replay,” hit No. 2. Since then she’s had ten No. 1 song successes, including “Umbrella,” “Rude Bow” and, most recently, “Diamonds.”
Among her many influence are Madonna and Bob Marley, who she calls “one of my favorite artists of all time.” Rihanna has a room in her house dedicated to Tuff Gong.
She’s also adopted Marley’s Rasta ways when it comes to ganja. Rihanna is famous for posting photos of herself smoking, toking and joking about marijuana on her Twitter and Instagram pages.
Rihanna’s relationship with singer Chris Brown, who assaulted her in 2009, has led people to question her common sense. Fortunately, they recently broke up again.
